How do I build connections to others ?
There are a few ways to send an invitation to connect. The simplest is to click the "Social Maps" link at the top of any page. Then on the Social Maps page you will see a section entitled "Build a Connection" with the fields: Email, First Name, Last Name, Relationship To You. Fill in this form and an invitation to the individual will be sent. When the member accepts the invitation, our system will add the person to your social map as well as the social maps of everyone you are currently connected with.

Why do I have to use the persons email address to build a connection to them?
Connecting Cadence is dedicated to building the true paths between individuals. We want your social map to be a useful tool that accurately displays everyone you know, everyone the people you know are connected to, and so on. MySpace and Facebook allow people to make friends with just about anyone in the cyber world. Which is great for their purpose, but our purpose is to create a social network that has Real World applications. The only way that we can do this is by proving that two individuals actually know each other and the best way we have concluded to do this is by utilizing the world wide webs unique email system.

Will ConnectingCadence spam or allow others to spam the person I am attempting to connect to?
No. Absolutely with out question or hesitation there will be know unsolicited emails sent to anyone currently a member or not currently a member. The success of our social mapping software on the web is dependent upon people trusting us to safe guard and not abuse their information. We hold this fact to be our utmost concern in every action we take.

What happens once I build connections to other people?
As you build connections and your connections build connections, your social map will grow tremendously with out you having do do anything. As your map grows you will be able various utilities will become extremely useful to you. The list of possibilities is practically endless and each individual has to find their own use.

What if I don't want to invite others and build my social map?
Then Connecting Cadence is not for you. You may be happier with virtual social networking sites that don't have real world applications.

Is the information in my profile available to everyone?
No. The way your information is displayed to others is completely up to you. If an individual is outside of the degree that you select, the information will be replaced with the word "private".

What is a degree of separation?
A degree of separation is the number of connected people from you to another individual. For instance, you are directly connected to your mother so the degree of separation is "one". You are connected to your mothers friend through your mother, therefore the degree of separation is "two". And so on...
